Before You Book​

We prefer to avoid boarding female dogs who are in season. Not only can the presence of a female in heat be very unsettling for our male guests, but the attention she may receive can also be overwhelming and stressful for her. If boarding during this time cannot be avoided, please let us know at the time of booking. Surcharges apply due to the special care and management required.

The safety of our team is our number one priority. GBK has a zero-tolerance policy for human aggression — whether from a pet or an owner. If your dog is known to be fearful or wary of strangers, our facility may not be the right environment for them. We kindly ask that you explore alternative arrangements with someone your pet already knows and trusts.

Absolutely — and we encourage it! Families are welcome to stay together in the same enclosure. Our rates are charged per pet as each animal receives their own individual care and attention, but keeping the family together is something we’re always happy to accommodate.

Yes, and we’d love to have you! Inspections are welcome anytime during our opening hours — no appointment necessary. Come and say hi, meet our team, and see for yourself if GBK is the right fit for you and your beloved pet.

Accommodation

Our team individually assesses every pet to find the most comfortable section for their stay — whether that’s the Puppy Playhouse, Teen Camp, Senior Retreat, or Solo Sanctuary. We will find the best fit for their personality and needs to ensure they have the best time.

We welcome you to come and inspect our facility anytime during opening hours so you can see the accommodation for yourself. Our friendly team will be happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have.

Daily Routine & Exercise

Absolutely. Every canine guest receives exercise twice daily — either in a group setting or as a solo session, depending on the individual’s preference and personality.
Our team provides regular, attentive care to every pet throughout the day. Our canine guests receive daily veterinary check-ins, twice daily exercise, and individual attention from our team. Our feline guests receive daily cuddles and attention as a standard part of their stay.
All pets at GBK are fed as part of their standard daily routine. We provide a premium diet to ensure no upset tummies throughout their stay.

Belongings & Personal Items

There’s no need — we aim to provide everything your pet could possibly need for their comfort and safety. We have special bedding and toys which are hygienically cleaned and safe for your pet, giving you complete peace of mind. If there is something very special to your pet, just ask our friendly team.

Staying Connected

Absolutely! Our team will send a daily photo and update for every pet. Additional updates, photos, videos, or even a FaceTime session can be arranged for $5 per pet, per update.

Check-In & Check-Out

Drop-offs and pick-ups are available during our standard operating hours: 

  • Monday – Friday: 8 am – 12 pm & 3 pm – 5 pm 
  • Saturday: 8 am – 11 am 
  • Sunday: 3 pm – 5 pm 
  • Public Holidays: Closed 

Our rates are a flat daily rate. To make the most of this, we recommend dropping your pet off in the morning and picking them up in the afternoon.

Full payment is required at the time of check-in.

Yes. Public holiday bookings require a non-refundable deposit of $100 per pet at the time of booking to secure your reservation. A public holiday surcharge also applies per pet, per day. Please note that GBK is closed on public holidays — please discuss your drop-off and pick-up arrangements with our team at the time of booking.
